NextGen Gallery Slideshow not working
My friend ask me to create a gallery for his boss and his boss’ son. My friend already buy domain name and web hosting, so I suggest him to use Coppermine. But he already installed Gallery2. And after further discussion we agree that we’ll use Wordpres with NextGEN Gallery, because other than gallery, they also need blogging.
So I installed WordPress with these plugins:
- All-in-one SEO Pack
- Contact Form 7
- Google XML Sitemap Generator
- My Page Order
- NextGEN Gallery <= the prime plugins
- Page Links To
- Sociable
- StatPress
- WP DB Backup
- WP SpamFree
- Yet Another Related Posts Plugin
I start working on Richard Jason Sukardi’s Blog and Gallery, and I thought this web hosting doesn’t support Su-PHP, so I chmod 777 wp-contents, uploads and plugins folders but after installing the first plugin WP didn’t asked me FTP password like used to be and the plugin installed succesfully. After installing all plugins on first blog, I am off to second blog, and I didn’t chmod the same folders because wp can install plugin flawlessly with Su-PHP configured on the server.
Now came the problem, on Boss’ Gallery, NextGEN Slideshow working, but on her son’s Gallery not working, only black box with round circle in the middle always rotating with out showing up pictures. Got headache and stomache (hungry.. I haven’t get dinner), so I am googling. Found someone with the same problem with NextGEN Slideshow not working, doing so many testing with the plugins and wordpress. So I am just read he last efforts that works, chmod 755 wp-content folder as suggested from WordPress Support. Do that and the slideshow running greats.

Excellent post. I am very fond of the style of your site, is this a template thats avaliable for free? I’m keen to create my own web site up in a little while so i’m looking into the various choices! Should I use WordPress or Blogengine? Any opinion would be very much respected. Thanks.
